Building a Just and Healthy Society
We support the movement for freedom, liberation, and justice for Black people, communities of color, and all who have experienced discrimination and oppression. We stand with protestors and activists in using cultural landscapes and public space to express first amendment rights in the cause of social, racial, environmental, and economic justice.
We know we have work to do. As individuals and as a practice, we recognize that we have to learn how to combat racism in its explicit and implicit forms. What we have witnessed in recent weeks has changed how we understand our role in building a just and healthy society.
As designers we carry the responsibility of helping give shape to space and culture. We create the outdoor environments where communities come together. Going forward, we will serve all our communities, our whole public, in the pursuit of a good life for all.
