Houston Chronicle: "Putting the wilderness back in Houston Arboretum"
Reed Hilderbrand’s client, the Houston Arboretum and Nature Center, is the subject of a cover story in today’s Houston Chronicle. The piece announces the objective of a $40 million capital campaign, the implementation of the 2014 Master Plan created by Reed Hilderbrand in collaboration with Design Workshop.
Houston Chronicle quotes executive director Deborah Markey: “The restoration will be based very much on science, not just something pretty that’s going to be put back,” Markey said. “The whole idea of the master plan is to restore the landscape in a way that’s more meaningful.”
