Aaron Hernandez
Aaron Hernandez earned his Master of Landscape Architecture degree at the University of Toronto where he received the ASLA Certificate of Honor and was named an Olmsted Scholar. He also holds a bachelor’s degree in English Rhetoric and Professional Writing from the University of Waterloo. Merging his interest in language and landscape, Aaron has developed research that leverages design methods for visualizing and analyzing public policy. His work has been featured in Landscape Architecture Magazine, exhibited at the Toronto Biennial of Art, and has been awarded by the Council of Educators in Landscape Architecture and the Landscape Architecture Canada Foundation. Aaron was awarded the 2024-2025 LAF Fellowship for Innovation and Leadership.
At Reed Hilderbrand, Aaron has worked on a wide range of commissions, including the National Mall Tidal Basin Ideas Lab, US National Arboretum, the American Museum of Natural History, and the University of Maryland. Aaron is currently working on roof gardens at Massachusetts General Hospital, a public plaza in Boston’s Kenmore Square, a large farm in New York, and a private residence in Dallas.
